I have been fortunate enough to know a world full of wonderful friends. I am so appreciative that these ladies are a part of my life.

Lindsey was the first person that I called when I met Kyle. This is no surprise, seeing as anything that is big in my life... well, she is the first person I tend to call. We have been friends since the first day of high school. She was painfully shy and I was, well, not. We were close all through high school, and I was fearful we would not remain as tight once we went our separate ways for college. However, with true friendship, distance never really poses that problem. We became closer yet, as I often came out to visit her while in Chicago and at Northwestern. On her visits home and to Pullman, she became on honorary Coug, and was known to most of my buddies as simply "Chicago." So intelligent, beautiful inside and out, she is my rock. She tells it to me straight, cheers me up when I am sad, and always makes me laugh!

Katie is my partner in crime. We also met in high school during soccer try outs. My big brothers told me "all the hot girls play soccer." Well, desiring such status, I decided to try out.... having never played a day in my life! Katie who had played her entire life was not impressed with my lack of foot skills, but somehow we managed to become friends. Maybe because I left soccer to her and I joined the diving team instead. Eventually, Katie and I both went to Washington State University, and surprisingly joined the same sorority. We quickly became Raskal and Smitty. We were pretty much inseparable and great at causing trouble. We have seen each other through school, finals, boyfriends, graduations, job hunts, career changes, you name it. Again, a friend for a lifetime, I know we will be old crotchety women with blue hair some day.

I met Erin probably a dozen times throughout college, always at the library ;) We often passed by each other at parties, shared a smile or a laugh. However, it was not until I started dating Kyle that we became close friends. She is one of the wittiest, most loyal friends a girl can ask for. We bonded by both being dorks. She was teaching me how to tap dance after copious amounts of red wine. It is not often you find a beautiful woman who willing to get silly and have a good time. On the flipside, we have had some of the best heart to hearts you can ask for. Erin and Michael, her husband, are two people that Kyle and I are so grateful to have in our lives. They are a wonderful couple, and wonderful individuals.

Mrs. Seal, aka Angie, and her husband Ryan were two colleagues when we first met. I needed to try and convince them to help me peddle bedpans (yes, bedpans) to some of our shared hospital customers. It was a Friday afternoon, and I was trying so hard to be professional. I met Angie and Ryan at the Starbucks near my apartment. Angie quickly said, "it is been a long week, you think we could grab a beer instead?" I was immediately relieved. We walked into one of my favorite pubs, the Attic, got harassed by Colleen the manager and literally talked for close to 6 hours. I didn't see sparks between Angie and Ryan then, but eventually friendship developed into romance. I got to watch these two fall in love, get married, and have a beautiful son, Rowan. They are an excellent example of what I think a marriage should be. Thanks for showing us how it is done!

I got to know Gretchen through Angie. She came to one of my brother's pool parties and it was as though we had been friends for years! Her dry sense of humor, spontaneous personality, and total willingness not to just have fun, but to make fun happen are some of the reasons I love her. Gretchen is well known to all of my friends and perhaps even preferred over me. I am okay with that. It is hard not to just love her, she is so open and easy to like. Over the last almost 4 years, she has been a constant friend, someone to lean on, joke with, and share my life with. I am so happy she will be standing up there with me on the big day!

1) The Silver Cloud Hotel on Broadway is within walking distance of PRAVDA Studios. We have a block of 10 rooms for $179.00 per night. These rooms each have two queen beds and there is also a complimentary Continental breakfast served each day. There is also an in-house restaurant, Cayenne. Ask about the Smith/Underwood block.

2) The Residence Inn by Marriott on Fairview, is an alternate option. Located near Lake Union, this hotel is a short cab ride up to Capitol Hill at Pravda Studios. We have a block of 10 rooms at this hotel for $109.00 per night. This hotel has a complimentary breakfast buffet and each room has two doubles or one king, with an attached living room and pull out bed available. It is newly remodeled and should be very comfortable. Please inquire about the Smith/Underwood block.

3) The Sorrento Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel on First Hill and is very close to PRAVDA Studios as well. There is no block reserved for this hotel, however, they often have excellent weekend packages to explore. Check out their website below.
